Preventive maintenance (PM) · Koh Samui
Preventive coffee machine maintenance on Koh Samui
Care before the breakdown. Annual preventive maintenance contracts for espresso machines, coffee grinders and fully automatic systems, with 3–6 visits a year from a local technical team based permanently on Koh Samui.
Why preventive maintenance matters
A commercial espresso machine works hard through every service, and wear builds up quietly. Group gaskets typically harden, shower screens clog, scale from hard water usually collects in boilers and pipework, and grinder burrs gradually dull. Grind consistency and extraction can drift long before anything actually stops working.
Problems caught early are usually simpler and less disruptive to put right than an emergency repair, and regular care helps reduce the risk of unplanned downtime on a busy day in high season. A preventive maintenance (PM) contract puts your coffee equipment on a regular schedule of 3–6 visits a year, with the rate based on your equipment, operating conditions and visit frequency.
We are based permanently on Koh Samui, so there are no multi-day delays waiting for mainland technicians to cross the ferry. The team is led by a former Aroma Group QA & Machine Training Manager, with certified expertise across 20+ top global brands, and is trusted by cafés, restaurants, resorts and hospitality groups across the island. We cover all of Koh Samui, including Bophut, Chaweng, Choeng Mon, Lamai, Maenam and Nathon.
What a maintenance visit typically involves
Across the industry, a PM visit on commercial coffee equipment usually covers the points below. This is general guidance; ask us what your contract covers for your equipment.
A contract does not replace daily cleaning. Between visits, baristas still need to backflush the group heads where the machine allows it, clean portafilters, baskets and steam wands, and keep grinder hoppers clean, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Cleaning and inspecting group heads, shower screens and group gaskets
- Checking boiler and brew pressures and temperatures
- Looking for leaks and early signs of scale
- Checking the water filter
- Inspecting grinder burrs and grind consistency
- Spotting worn seals and parts that are due for replacement
Annual maintenance contract prices
Annual contracts are available for espresso machines, coffee grinders and fully automatic systems, plus two combo packages that cover a machine together with its grinders. Rates vary based on equipment configuration, machine group count, boiler setup, operating conditions and service frequency (3–6 visits/year). Spare parts and consumables are excluded unless otherwise stated.
Tell us your equipment, group count and how busy you are, and we will recommend the right package and visit frequency.
- Combo-1 (machine + grinder): one machine and one grinder in one package.
- Combo-2 (machine + 2–4 grinders): one machine with 2–4 grinders, for bars that run several grinders.
- Coffee grinders on their own: see our coffee grinder service page.
- Fully automatic systems: see our automatic coffee machine service page.
VIP service retainer
For venues that prefer a monthly arrangement, the VIP service retainer, from THB 3,500 / month, combines scheduled PM, a water audit and priority SLA.
The water audit looks at the water feeding your equipment, which is where scale usually starts. If treatment is needed, we offer ultrafiltration (UF) systems and commercial reverse osmosis (RO) with remineralization, plus annual filter replacement contracts from THB 4,500 / year.
Remote triage is within 2 hours via LINE / WhatsApp, and on-site dispatch is under 24 hours across Koh Samui. Service hours are Monday–Saturday, 08:30–17:30. Ask us what the priority SLA covers for your venue.

Frequently asked questions
How often should a commercial espresso machine be serviced?
Our annual maintenance contracts are based on 3–6 visits a year, and the rate reflects your equipment, operating conditions and visit frequency. As general guidance, busier venues and machines running on harder water usually need more frequent visits. Your baristas still need to clean the machine daily in between.
How much does coffee machine maintenance cost on Koh Samui?
Annual preventive maintenance contracts cost THB 8,500–14,000 for espresso machines, THB 6,000–11,500 for coffee grinders, THB 10,000–16,500 for fully automatic systems, THB 12,000–19,000 for Combo-1 (machine + grinder) and THB 15,000–22,000 for Combo-2 (machine + 2–4 grinders). Rates vary based on equipment configuration, machine group count, boiler setup, operating conditions and service frequency (3–6 visits/year). The VIP service retainer is from THB 3,500 / month.
Are spare parts included in a coffee machine maintenance contract?
Spare parts and consumables are excluded unless otherwise stated. Ask us what is included for your equipment when you request a quote.
What is the difference between a maintenance contract and the VIP retainer?
A preventive maintenance (PM) contract is an annual rate for 3–6 visits a year on your equipment. The VIP service retainer, from THB 3,500 / month, combines scheduled PM with a water audit and priority SLA. Tell us your machine, grinder and setup, and we will recommend the right option.
Does coffee machine maintenance include descaling?
Ask us what your contract covers for your machine. As general guidance, scale forms when hard water is heated and typically leads to blockages and heating problems over time, so prevention usually starts with the water itself. The VIP retainer includes a water audit, and we offer commercial water filtration with annual filter replacement contracts from THB 4,500 / year.
Which espresso machine and grinder brands do you maintain?
We work on equipment from over 20 global brands, including La Marzocco, Victoria Arduino, Synesso, Eversys, Franke, LaCimbali, Nuova Simonelli, Faema, Wega, Sanremo, Mazzer and Mahlkönig. Brand names are listed to show the equipment we work on; no affiliation is implied.
