Espresso machine repair on Koh Samui: on-site call-outs

Machine down mid-service? Message us on LINE or WhatsApp. We triage remotely within 2 hours and dispatch a technician on site in under 24 hours across Koh Samui. Our service hours are Monday–Saturday, 08:30–17:30.

How an espresso machine repair call-out works

When an espresso machine stops mid-service, you need a technician who is already on the island. We are based permanently on Koh Samui, so there are no multi-day delays waiting for mainland technicians to cross the ferry.

The team is led by a former Aroma Group QA & Machine Training Manager, with certified expertise across 20+ top global brands. Our service hours are Monday–Saturday, 08:30–17:30.

  • Message us on LINE (@coffeechanic) or WhatsApp with your machine model and what is happening. A photo or short video helps us triage faster.
  • Remote triage within 2 hours via LINE / WhatsApp.
  • On-site dispatch in under 24 hours across Koh Samui, including Bophut, Chaweng, Choeng Mon, Lamai, Maenam and Nathon.
  • An on-site diagnostic visit (THB 1,000) to find out exactly what is wrong, then a repair quote, with spare parts charged separately.

Common espresso machine problems and what usually causes them

Certain symptoms are common on busy commercial machines. The list below is general guidance, not a diagnosis: the same symptom can have more than one cause, and limescale from hard water is often part of the story.

If the machine is leaking, or something looks or sounds wrong, switch it off and close the water supply. Do not open a hot or pressurised boiler. A technician needs to find the actual fault, so message us on LINE or WhatsApp, or book an on-site diagnostic visit.

  • Not heating: the boiler is not reaching temperature. This can point to the heating element, the pressure switch or temperature controller, a tripped safety thermostat or the power supply.
  • No water through the group head: often a blocked group or flow restrictor, a solenoid valve that is not opening, or a problem with the water supply or pump.
  • Low pump pressure: can point to a worn pump, an incorrect pump pressure setting, or a restricted water supply or inlet filter.
  • Weak steam: can point to low boiler pressure, scale in the boiler or steam valve, or a blocked steam tip.
  • Water leaking under the machine: commonly a worn seal or gasket, a loose fitting, a cracked hose or a blocked drain.
  • A group head that won't stop flowing: often a solenoid valve sticking open, or a fault in the flowmeter or electronic dosing.
  • A noisy pump: can mean it is starved of water, worn, or working against a blockage.

Espresso machine repair prices, overhauls and loaner machines

The on-site diagnostic visit is THB 1,000 anywhere on Koh Samui. Minor repairs start from THB 1,200 and major repairs from THB 3,000. Repair prices exclude spare parts, which are charged separately.

When an older or heavily used machine keeps developing new faults, a full overhaul is usually worth considering instead of another one-off repair, because it deals with the machine as a whole rather than a single part. Full machine overhauls start from THB 6,000 plus spare parts. Tell us your machine and setup, and we will recommend the right service.

If your machine has to come out of service, ask about a standby loaner machine placement, from THB 1,000 per day, so you can keep serving coffee.

Espresso machine brands we work on

We work on espresso machines from La Marzocco, Victoria Arduino, Synesso, Nuova Simonelli, LaCimbali, Faema, Sanremo, Wega, Carimali, Crem, Expobar, Conti, Rocket Espresso and more, for cafés, restaurants, resorts and hospitality groups across Koh Samui.

After the repair: preventive maintenance and water filtration

Care before the breakdown. A preventive maintenance (PM) annual contract for espresso machines costs THB 8,500–14,000 a year, with 3–6 visits a year. Rates vary based on equipment configuration, machine group count, boiler setup, operating conditions and service frequency. Spare parts and consumables are excluded unless otherwise stated.

For priority support, ask about the VIP service retainer, from THB 3,500 per month, with scheduled PM, a water audit and a priority SLA.

If scale keeps coming back, ask about commercial water filtration: ultrafiltration (UF) systems, commercial reverse osmosis (RO) with remineralization, and annual filter replacement contracts from THB 4,500 per year.

Is there an espresso machine technician on Koh Samui?

Yes. We are based permanently on Koh Samui, so there are no multi-day delays waiting for mainland technicians to cross the ferry. We triage remotely on LINE or WhatsApp within 2 hours and dispatch a technician on site in under 24 hours across Koh Samui. Our service hours are Monday–Saturday, 08:30–17:30.

Why is my espresso machine not heating up?

Common causes include the heating element, the pressure switch or temperature controller, a tripped safety thermostat or the power supply, and scale can also play a part. Switch the machine off and send us the model with a photo or short video on LINE or WhatsApp. A technician needs to diagnose the actual cause.

Why is my espresso machine leaking water?

Leaks often come from a worn seal or gasket, a loose fitting, a cracked hose or a blocked drain. If an older or heavily used machine keeps developing new faults, a full overhaul is usually worth considering instead of another one-off repair. Full machine overhauls start from THB 6,000 plus spare parts. Tell us your machine and setup, and we will recommend the right service.

Can I get a loaner espresso machine while mine is being repaired?

Ask us about a standby loaner machine placement when you get in touch. It starts from THB 1,000 per day, so you can keep serving coffee while your own machine is repaired.
